Camp Chance, Cops and Kids Together, 2015 at Walker Creek Ranch

The magic that happens at Camp Chance every summer is undeniable. This short film was created to give people a glimpse into the extraordinary transformations that happen each year (first shown at the March 2106 Camp Chance fundraiser).

The program has reached more than 850 at-risk youth over 16 consecutive years. It’s a unique and powerful example of how bringing “Cops and Kids Together” can make a huge difference — demystifying the work peace officers do, and who they are as human beings. Take an eight minute journey to Walker Creek Ranch and experience a bit of what it is like, and how officers and participants feel about what happens during the five day escape. Thanks to Rebecca Kuga, San Rafael Police Department, Youth Services Bureau, Program Supervisor, for her inspired leadership bringing this opportunity to life.
